FEARS that a children's play area has been constructed over a mine shaft have led to its immediate closure. Troon's play area occupies part of the recreation ground in Treslothan Road and is situated right next to Troon Cricket Club. British salvage tug Anglian Princess (2,258/02) arrived from Mounts Bay and anchored in the bay. Bahamas flagged reefer Summer Meadow (12,659/85) arrived from Gdansk, Poland to land personnel outside port limits and sailed for Puerto Moin, Costa Rica.
